Tartu College has over 450 rooms available for full-time students attending a university in Toronto. A typical fall-winter school semester occupancy period is from September 1 to April 30 (8 months). Tartu will also accept a limited number of students who will be attending university for only the fall or winter semesters (4 months). From May through late August, Tartu also welcomes travelling students, tourists and non-students visiting Toronto. Students must be at least 18 years old to live in Tartu College.

On each floor, there are 5 (male, female or gender neutral) suites, a garbage disposal chute and access to elevators and emergency exits and stairwells. Each suite has 6 bedrooms, 2-3 shared washrooms, a shared kitchen and lounge area where each resident has access to a refrigerator and pantry. 
Tartu College is a proud memnber of the  City of Toronto recycling program.

Your Move-In is anytime after 4:00 p.m. and Move-Out is before 10:00 a.m. on your respective dates.

Fall/Winter Semester Information

  • Students may apply to TC for one or both the fall and winter semesters, and must plan to stay for a minimum of 4 months. Preference will be given to students who intend to stay for at least 8 months, or a full school year.
  • School year applications are accepted online through this website or in person at the Office - located at 310 Bloor St. West. Applications are typically opened in March. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. One application per person. 
  • A room is reserved only after a deposit payment of one (1) month's occupancy fee is received via one of the Payment Options. This deposit will be applied to your last month's payment. Room is reserved when TC receives your deposit payment. Please note that the deposit paid with your application is for your last month's payment. 
  • When you move into Tartu College, you must pay the first month's occupancy fee via one of the Payment Options. 
  • The room is reserved from the 1st of the month, regardless of the actual move in date. Therefore, subsequent monthly occupancy payments are applied from the first day to the last day of every month. 
  • TC fobs or keys will be issued to residents after the first month's occupancy payment has been paid.
  • All room information (incl. your room number) will be available upon arrival. TC will try to accommodate requests for room location, suitemates, etc. However, Tartu College cannot guarantee that all requests can be met.
  • By submitting your application to TC, you confirm that you have read and agree with TC School Year Information, Rules and Regulations. If you break any of TC Occupancy Rules and Regulations you may be subject to a nominal fine. However, if your unwelcome behavior continues, you may be evicted from TC.
